Sojourn means "a temporary stay" — and that's exactly what Spiti offers: a temporary stay in a world so different from your daily life that it recalibrates everything. This trip starts from Manali, crosses the moonscape above Rohtang, enters the valley via Kunzum Pass, and spends the bulk of its time in the Spiti heartland — Kaza, Key, Dhankar, Tabo. You'll visit the world's highest post office at Hikkim (4,400m), stare at fossils in the Spiti Shale that are 150 million years old, and eat thukpa in a monastery kitchen where the recipe hasn't changed since the 15th century. "Spectacular" is the brochure word. The reality is bigger than the word.
