About this circuit

Begin the return journey via a different route for fresh scenery. Drive along the Spiti River toward Nako Lake and the Kinnaur region. Stop at the scenic villages along the way, each with its own ancient monastery. The landscape gradually changes from the stark Spiti moonscape to the relatively green Kinnaur Valley. Drive through the spectacular Nako Gorge where the road is carved into sheer cliff faces above the Sutlej River.
