About this experience

Best monsoon trek — cross Hampta Pass (4,270m) from lush Kullu Valley to barren Lahaul in 5 days

Cross the legendary Hampta Pass (4,270 m) — one of India's most dramatic and accessible mountain pass treks. Over 5 days you'll traverse two completely different worlds: the lush, green Kullu Valley with its wildflower meadows and thundering rivers, and the stark, moonscape-like Lahaul desert.

Monsoon magic: Unlike most Himalayan treks that shut down during July–August, Hampta Pass transforms into a stunning green paradise. Swollen rivers, cascading waterfalls, and vivid emerald meadows make this India's best monsoon trekking experience.

Trek through Jobra meadows, camp at the glacier moraine of Balu Ka Ghera, summit the pass with panoramic views of Indrasan (7,816m) and Deo Tibba, then descend to the world-famous Chandratal (Moon Lake) for an unforgettable sunset.

Perfect for beginners and intermediate trekkers seeking their first Himalayan pass crossing.
