Jibhi

Jibhi is a small village in the Banjar area of Kullu district, at about 1,600 m. It sits in deodar and pine forest, beside a stream and a modest waterfall. It is a favourite offbeat stop for people who want wooden cottages, home cooking and slow days instead of Manali crowds. You can walk to Jibhi waterfall and the old Chehni Kothi tower in nearby Banjar valley. You can also walk up to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake. The Great Himalayan National Park and Tirthan valley are an easy drive away. Spring brings blossom and autumn brings clear skies. Winter can bring snow at higher altitude and cold nights. The nearest airport is Bhuntar, roughly 60 to 70 km away, and the drive is long and winding. Mobile signal can be patchy, and ATMs are in Banjar. Most travellers spend two to three nights, often along with Tirthan, Shoja and Jalori Pass.
