Kinnaur stretches along the Sutlej from Shimla toward the Tibetan frontier, blending Hindu and Buddhist culture. Known for its apples, chilgoza pine, cliffside roads and the Kinner Kailash peak, it takes in Sangla, Chitkul, Kalpa and Nako on the old Hindustan–Tibet route.
