McLeodganj, above Dharamshala, is the seat of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tsuglagkhang complex where the Dalai Lama resides. Its lanes brim with monasteries, cafés and craft shops, and it is the trailhead for walks to Bhagsu, Triund and the Dhauladhar.
